Hello Silvia ! Hello classmates !
Here come two videos from my daughter Nelli and her little sheltie Mini. We took part of this class as auditors and we have learned a lot.
Because of the age of Nelli ( 9 years ) we are quiet late with some tricks and some tricks we even haven`t started yet. I could not enforce Nelli so much so we do trainings not soo often as neccessary for all these tricks. Also it was very hard to read all this in english. But we learned a lot in this time and we do not stop training. Somewhen we will have learned all tricks.
We enjoyed this class very much ! Thank`s to all of you showing the videos and thank you for good comments Silvia !
Here are our videos :
Thanks again !
Heidi and Nelli with Mini
Wow Nellie did a great job with Mini! Loved the recall from behind the woodpile. 🙂 The two of them look like they had a great time working on these tricks.
Great job, Nelli & Mini!!! And wow, I sure wish I knew how to train my dog so well when I was 9 years old! 🙂 Very impressive!
Hello Nelli, it is very nice to see that also other children attended the calls. What a pity that you were only auditor; because it would have encouraged me in between all those experienced adults who did everything so very well and fast! I find, you did a really great job and your puppy is very cute and intelligent!
Iam 14 years old, and was supported by my mom, too, just like you -- and we had the same time problems, we also keep on working on the tricks and had a lot of fun.
l wish you a very good time with your puppy, and if you come from Germany (?) I hope to meet you once in an agility trial with Mini 😉
Best regards from the baltic sea (Ratzeburg near Lübeck)
from Melinda with Malaika
Great job Nelli and Mini, you sure mastered many tricks! Very cute too! What a cool hug and doors slamming! Really beautiful heeling too! For rolling the ball, you would need a bit smaller ball for a small dog, so that she can stand on it better and roll it easier. Let me know which video you want for graduation!
Hello Silvia !
Yes I know the ball is too big, but the smaller was for the first trys too much rolling, so we took the bigger. After some trainings we will go back to the smaller …
For graduation I want the first video.
Thank you for all !
I guess you mean Cik&Cap? You can see in Melinda’s video how she limited the movement of a small ball, it might help!
Nelli-WOW!!!!!!!!!! You and Mini are so talented! 9 yrs old!!!! Wish we could have seen more of you throughout the class!!!! Inspiring! 🙂
Great job Nelli and Mini!
Well done! Mini is adorable!
Lovely to see. What a great job Nelli & Mini.
Congratulations on all the hard work! What a happy team.
very nice videos! very impressive!

Hello Silvia, how long do we have time to post the video?
As you know, we have Malaika only part-time, what costs us progress, and additionally Puppy Class overlapped with RC-Class so we are way behind with lesson 6. There also take place 10 days with trials during the next 5 weeks, So we are very much in time trouble.
And then in July, unfortunately, I will be for 6 weeks in a rehabilitation measure, and can’t help Melinda (14) with editing and uploading the video and with the english translations here, she will be challenged enaough to handle the RC class, supported by my partner).
So I suppose I can’t manage the graduation video before September, I’m afraid.
Hope, that doesn’t matter.
Best wishes and thanks for your great class

Don’t worry, there is no time limit for graduation videos.
For the graduation video, is it ok if we include some tricks that were not part of the class? I was never able to get Stout to cross his paws, so I made up some other paw tricks. They were inspired by this class, even if they were not part of the class 🙂
Sure, you can include everything you want in graduation video!
HI Merinda, I’m a big fan of Stout so I’d love to see all your tricks 🙂
I think everyone wants to see Stout’s extra credit paw tricks! I love that sit up picutre 🙂 I was raised with Scotties and this is exactly how they used to sit…for our entire dinner time!
Hi Merinda, here is the third vote for “more Stout, please”! 🙂

I will work on my graduation video but I want to continue. When do I rejoin. Is it 12 weeks from rejoining or when does the new session start? I had a blast in this class. Cameron’s figure 8’s have really improved.
You can rejoin at any point and it’s then 12 weeks from then! Looking forward to see more of Cameron!
Thanks Silvia. I went training tonight and forgot my video camera. Cameron did brilliant figure 8’s too. Cant wait to put together the graduation video then will rejoin as I know we need lots of help in everything and maybe take more time now. Its a lot to learn in 12 weeks with a puppy. Question, after I redo puppy class I am going to take the Foundation class. We are learning nose touch contacts in my agility class. I would like to get a solid 2o/2o first and then might go the running contact route. I probably will try them at least for the A-frame. What I was wondering is that I know you do running contacts but I was wondering what you do for the teeter? Do you do a stopped contact for the teeter. Would love to know how you start, do you do nose touches? Thanks very much for any input. I wish you had a video for that 🙂
Sure, I have a stopped teeter, either 4on or 2on2off, but I don’t use nose touches for either of the two. The teeter is covered in Foundations, basically I start with lots of banging it down with front feet and eventually jumping on it and into a final position (4on or 2on2off). It’s even harder to retrain to RC after practising 2on2off on AF as on DW, so I highly recommend to NOT do ANY 2on2off on AF if you want RC…
Do you do gamble work in Europe. In Canada we have to do distance work where we might send them from the Aframe to a tunnel on the left away from the handler, is this possible with a running contact?
It is possible yes. Handling running AF is not any more difficult as handling stopped AF. Actually, I think it’s easier.
Hi Silvia and Classmates,
Pippa and I are very sad that this class is over. We have learned so much and had so much fun! We absolutely will start with advanced tricks soon.
Everybody thanks for the lovely videos and comments. I would be nice to see some of you in other classes too.
Lots of love,
Sasja and Pippa
p.s. Silvia I would like to receive the trainingvideo speed&conditioning
Sasja and Pippa! What a gorgeous video and SUCH A FANTASTIC mastery of the tricks!!! I just LOVE watching Pippa! 🙂
Sasja and Pippa, I change between deeply admiring and deeply envying you two 😉 Absolutely wonderful, how you mastered everything, you are wonderful! When I watch your perfectness, I feel very “small” and don’t even dare to make a graduation video now already; we’d better repeat the class (twice, at least) in order to becume just half as good as you!
Biggest compliments and best regards
Melinda + Malaika + Ingrid
Wow. Thats all I can say: WOW!!!!! If this is 3 months worth of work I want to see you guys in 3 years!
That’s a good point!!!
Wow, great job, you sure mastered a record number of tricks!!! All ready for advanced class! The video sent!
WOW, what a show!!! You two make an incredible team…super smart & athletic Pippa, and amazing trainer Sasja!!! I also wonder where you two will be in three years! 🙂 Silvia, better watch out 😉 you may have some stiff competition in a few years! 🙂 But I guess that’s the dream of every teacher! 🙂
It sure is!!! 🙂
That was terrific, I will miss watching all your videos, you have definitely mastered the games. I need to do my video, definitely inspired by yours.
Wow.. Pippa and I are honoured about all lovely comments.
I’m looking forward to see the graduation video of all of you too,
Thanks a lot everybody!
Pippa is a superstar!! I really enjoy watching you both work, I too can only imagine what you will achieve in the future.
At the risk of being repetitive… BRAVO!! What a spectacular finale… I’m beyond jealous of your accomplishments! I’m looking forward to seeing more of you and Pippa in Advanced Tricks (though I will also be repeating this class so that Kodi and I get better with this “beginner” stuff too)! Enjoy the summer:)
Such an inspiring Video. It was so cool to also watch Pippa mature. Your both rock stars.
Wow!!!that was brilliant. Love the Pippa.
That was a huge inspiration. You mastered so much! I love the paw cross the most. I hope to see you in more classes! Lois & Monza
You can join them in RC and Advanced Tricks classes! They doing just as well in those two as they did in Puppy Class! 🙂
Wooooow!!! You both are awesome! You’ve mastered ALL the exercices yet!!! Congratulations!! Very good job 😀
Just amazing Sasja and Pippa!!!! I loved your video!!!!!

While we are on the topic of kids and dogs…NO ONE has to watch this but we had another trainer and then Pruli demo tricks over our 12 wk 4H season and then had a “contest” on the last day of 4H last weekend where the kids had 1 minute to show their best tricks. Most of these dogs are family pets who were “traditionally” trained so “trick training” REALLY helped us show the kids that there are other ways to train. Some of these dogs are 13 yrs old and others belong to kids who have been in the club for years. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! I wish Nelli and Melinda and Sayward could be in our club too as they are FANTASTIC role models of how to play with our furry best friends! 🙂 Still working on Pruli’s graduation video!
Cute! Happy to see times changed 🙂 When I went to a dog school with my first dog, I was in a group of 30 -- 1 Lab, 28 GSDs and Rottweilers and me with my Samoyed, weighting less as any of those dogs 🙂 90% of students were men and 100% were over 40. I was 11. A perfect environment to learn that not every method works for every dog and to think with my own head though 🙂
Kelly that was absolutely awesome…now can you come over and make a video for me and Rankin? 😉
Whoops-sorry Silvia-I should have posted this on a different page I think since this is the graduation page-feel free to delete!
Hello Kelly, oh, thanks so much, I am sure, I would love to be with you in your club. Where do you live?
@Silvia: please, don’t delete it -- it’s wonderful and encourages us “youngsters” so much!

Melinda and Malaika, we live in Maine in the US-just over the ocean! Maybe someday when you are on the world agility team you can come visit us!! 🙂
Ha, you are so nice, Kelly, it’s very kind of you to believe in us so much! We will try to do our best. Hope to see you in 2015! 😉
Are auditors eligible for the training video graduation present? Thanks! -- Heather and Dixon (7mo Field Spaniel)
Sure, auditors get the present too! -- If they make a graduation video to show they deserved it! 🙂
Great! I just didn’t realize that auditors were allowed to post videos. Thanks!
Not for commenting, but yes for graduating! 🙂
Hi Silvia
Is there a deadline for our graduation video? I wont be able to post until the weekend at the earliest.
No deadline, just post when you can!
