Puppy Class

duration
6 lessons, one every 2 weeks
= 12 weeks of feedback + 2 weeks of a break in between
requirements
- no minimal or maximal age
- no equipment needed

You can now join June class, starting on June 13! This class can be done in small places, with no equipment, and is appropriate for every age, for conditioning of active performance dogs and for keeping senior dogs happy and fit. - It's never too young or too old to learn! I always make sure to add enough challenges also for adult dogs who know many tricks already, with emphasis on verbal discrimination and conditioning. So yes, there are some extras to the normal Puppy Class program now!

This class promotes the development of physical and mental skills, helps puppies to learn how to learn, how to use their mind and bodies, builds great body awareness, balance and strength. It's not only beneficial for puppies, but also for active agility dogs or retired dogs to keep them busy, fit and young.

I can’t find your payment under this e-mail address but if you have another one under another name with orange.fr ending and you paid today at 17.31, then your link was sent at 17.44 to your orange.fr mail 🙂 Let me know if that’s you or not and if you find my mail now or not. -- Maybe check spam folder if not?

I’ll be getting my new dog soon so have missed this class. I’ll be getting the puppy diary DVD do you have any online forums/FB pages that I’m able to join for any feedback classes etc (obviously paid) that are coming up again in the new year as I’d love to get off on the right track. Sadly my dog will be too young for the foundation class when that next starts as well so I’ll keep missing out on the classes 🙁

Yes, not the best timing for the classes, but if you start with PUppy Diary on your own and then join May Puppy class to finish it up --
and then continue with August Foundations, that should work just fine! There is no FB page no, just this website that is constantly updated on next classes etc.

And so, we began with paw touches, 4 in and just click and trat for the name, He is SMART and really quick with getting the idea (first BC pup) will be trying to get the back tonight or tomorrow.

My only problem is when we play he tugs on my sleeves, on my pants, and yesterday he went for the kill and actually bite my hands, and the my ankle D:
I know form puppy diary that you condone the sleeves and pants( i am trying to redirection to a tuggie), but what can i do with the skin mawing hahahha

BTW we are both really excited to get in the puppy class!!

    • LoLaBu January 17, 2018 at 21:42 Log in to Reply

Awww, he is too cute!!! Biting passes quickly, so no worries, just try to make toys more fun instead -- experiment with different toys and materials. And for now, try to not move too much and not make it that exciting that he would just go for the skin.

Hello ! I bought your puppy diary dvd last month and I want to thanks you because my little BC puppy and I have a lot of fun ! He’s really smart even if the generalization skills are not always simply. “With a spoon it’s okay but what can I do with this coin ????”
So, fun. Completly fresh dog and completly new tricks !
    Thanks !
I wanted to say it’s a bit hard for me to know how and when to introduce the cue. Verbal or gestural ? Before the action, after ? Because the little dog doesn’t understand me, he guess the situation. For paw lift, little dog is sooo fast, I don’t have a cue so I have to follow his speed ! (?).
However, thanks for all the videos and articles and so…

    • LoLaBu February 8, 2018 at 17:23 Log in to Reply

Yay sounds like you are having lots of fun! You can add a cue when you have the final form of the behavior and he is offering it consistently, so you can predict for sure that he will do it -- and then say it just before he does it. It’s hard at first, but once they get the concept of cues, things get easier!

      • Rififi February 8, 2018 at 18:10 Log in to Reply

It sounds so easy when you tell it, but in the reality it’s much harder for me, haha.
For example, I can’t predict which paw my puppy will lift, you don’t make any differences between the right paw and the left paw, do you have only one cue for both, no matter which paw ??
        Thanks !!

        • LoLaBu February 8, 2018 at 19:47 Log in to Reply

When naming directional tricks like this, you can say a cue a bit later, when you already see what he will offer -- and then a bit later do a couple of sessions on just one paw/direction, asking and rewarding just that one -- and then the other is separate sessions until they’re really on cue.

            I’ll try ! Thanks !

    Hi Silvia,
Hope you well. I dropped you a mail regarding swopping my old rc class for puppy trick or foundation class. Looking forward to hearing from you. Taryn

    hi Silvia,
what about those who are repeater but haven’t the DVD?

    hi Silvia,
what about those who are repeater, but don’t have the DVD?

    • LoLaBu April 2, 2018 at 22:11 Log in to Reply

Hm, that’s not a very probable option I think because repeaters are only those taking the class with the same dog and the DVD is part of the class for several years already? But if someone from back then wants to redo with the same dog, it’s o.k. without the DVD for me.
