= 12 weeks of feedback + 2 weeks of a break in between
- minimal equipment needed: 4 jumps, 2 tunnels, Foundations Revisited DVD, channel and see-saw (if working on weaves&see-saw as well)
- appropriate for all levels, total beginners to experienced dogs who could use better turns, more independence or speed
This class follows Foundations Revisited DVD. This is why the format has been changed from the original Foundations Fun class program:
What is different is the order, the emphasis, and the exercises and I also added some new topics, so the transition to Xtreme Foundations should be super smooth - this class certainly doesn't lack in providing MANY challenges. And definitely covers many topics!
This class is appropriate for all levels, from total beginners from 7 months on - and also for experienced agility dogs - I promise to keep everybody challenged!!! All feedback completely individual.
Minimum equipment needed: 2 tunnels, 4 jumps and if you want to work on see-saw and weaves as well: see-saw and stick to the ground and/or channel weaves (ideally both!). + Foundations Revisited DVD of course.
Topics covered: play, fetching, static toys, stays, restrains, warm ups and cool downs, tight turns, sends, pushes, threadles and serpentines, come to hand, verbal discrimination, obstacle discrimination, tunnel sends, traps and turns (hard and soft turns), extension and collection, different crosses and handling, see-saw, weaves, tire, long, double and wall jump, how to choose sequences and adjust them to your dog, how to handle mistakes and more.
We'll be starting with the first homework on October 10, but you can register and enter the classroom already now.
Some graduation videos examples:
Video length limitation per lesson is 10 minutes per lesson (in total that means 60 min in 12 weeks of the class).
The class has 6 lessons, one every 2 weeks = 12 weeks of feedback (+ 2 weeks of a catch-up break in between).

All fixed -- should work now!
Just paid for this, but it’s not showing up…let me know what to do, please!
All fixed now, should work now.
Is registration still open?
Yes, you can still join! We are still at Lesson 1.
Hi Sylvia,
I have not taken an online class before and so don’t know about posting videos, so thinking I maybe should audit this class. Do I need to order the video separately?
I will practice setting up videos for myself at home and see if I can do it so next time can take a participant class. Thank you, Shela
Sounds like a good plan yes! As an auditor, you can still get the video for the same, reduced price, but you need to let me know and I then send you a money request after auditing payment.
I just saw this class. It sounds like it’s just what we need! How much longer is registration open? Will I be able to post videos for the lessons we’ve already missed? When does this class officially end? When will you be offering this again?
The registration will close in a couple of days, but yes, you can still join at the moment and post on past lessons as well. The class is on till January 24.
And oh, for the next one, I don’t know yet… Maybe May/June…
When will be open registration to foundation class of march ?
On February 20 🙂
When will the next set of foundation classes start after this? My pup won’t be 6 months until the 4th April 🙂
That could work if you just avoid too many repetitions and know you might not be able to master it all -- many people don’t anyway and just take it twice or finish it up on their own. Most likely, next class will start end of August.
Puppy Sky will join the next foundation class in august, when he get’s a little older. See you then 🙂 Hege
O.k.! See you then!!! 🙂
What are the differences between the DVD and the online Class? Can you graduate of the DVD Also? And, can you answer dudes of the DVD if I don’t understand something?☺
It’s very different -- with DVD you work on your own, based on what I show on a DVD. In a class, you follow a program, post videos and get immediate and constant feedback on your work + can see more troubleshooting, following other students. You need the DVD also for the class, but the class offers personal feedback that DVD of course doesn’t.
Ok, so, with the DVD, you don’t help troubles that can happen?
DVD is just like a book you get in a shop… Of course, you can mail me with a question, but it’s not continuous support like a class no.
Aaah, thank you! We practise agility here in Spain and I want to improve some things like speed, crosses… 🙂
Yes, for these, the class would be the best way to go to have more trouble shooting options + supervision on handling.
Yes, and foundation classes start 17th august, that date is perfect for me. The only problem that I have is the payment… but I expect that I’ll can do it.
P.D : I hope that one day I’ll can go to Slovenia :).
Great! Hope to see you in class! 🙂
What do you think that is going to be the Best Class and the Best DVD for her? 🙂
I want to add a video of her, but I can’t do it. First, I need to put it in YouTube and then put here the Link? 🙂
Yes, exactly.
Foundations as a class and Ready-Steady-GO! for a DVD.
