Puppy I graduation

That's it! Time to show off what you've learned in the class! Please post your graduation videos here. If you would prefer me to not post it to the website for everybody to see, let me know. Also, let me know which one of the training videos you would like to get as your graduation gift.

So nice to read that you both will also join the AF class!

Don’t know what happened to the music at a certain point, but I will try to fix it!

    • LoLaBu May 31, 2011 at 21:52 Log in to Reply

Wow, very nice, Laura and Shape! She also looks happy to play now. Reminds me of Bu a lot in her movement. And what do you want for a graduation video as you have all videos already??? Next one? It should be out sometime in August, so you would need to remind me to send it when it’s out…

🙂 thanks, Silvia. No problem for the video. I will wait for the next one. Glad you liked our grad video! 🙂

Oh, that was sooooo good!!! Was shape really that tiny when we met her!? I can’t believe she’s had time to learn all those tricks when she’s been so busy growing! She makes it all look v easy. Love watching you 2 play together at the end 🙂

      • Nancy June 1, 2011 at 14:43 Log in to Reply

I’ve always loved the first videos of Shape compressing to get into her bowl. It really helped me to see the purpose of this trick and to know what to reward for. Keep up the good work with an awesome pup!

Thanks, Nancy. I loved your videos as well. We will surely keep working… We have so many things to learn!

      • Laura Gissara June 2, 2011 at 01:21 Log in to Reply

Thank you, Camilla. Yep, she was tiny indeed! And she is so cute and loves to work! I love her!

    • Jennifer June 2, 2011 at 00:17 Log in to Reply

So cute to see the puppies grow up!
      Laura, where are the lizards?!
      Great job you two!!!

      • Laura Gissara June 2, 2011 at 01:25 Log in to Reply

Ahah, thank you, Jennifer. The lizards are still there but we try not to think about them too much!

Great video! Amazing how the other dogs doing their own thing while you and Shape are training! I hope to see you two in AF class!!

Hi Sylvia, I just tried to register for your Foundations class and for some reason my paypal account won’t work… : (
I’ll try to figure it out tomorrow.
Meanwhile… Would it be ok if we post our graduation video in a week or two??? we are still trying to catch up and stuck with some things. (I’ve completely given up on the frog for now)
We have not practiced the two side legs up because we haven’t found the right object to work with… a board propped on pillows was too wobbly and stairs tend to only get 2o2o…
also, as soon as our hug the stuffy and situp-to-standup-to-situp video loads to youtube I’ll post that—because we still need help moving those along…

I am tempted to take the puppy tricks 3, but I think we can’t afford it--will you be giving the same assignments again? Maybe we should just work on all these assignments we have our own over the summer and take the puppy tricks in the fall…

I am excited about Foundations class… we started agility without ANY foundation work and I have always felt like we have many missing pieces

    thanks, Dinah

    • Dinah and Bronagh June 1, 2011 at 06:24 Log in to Reply

and even if we just go with whatever tricks we’ve got so far—it would still be so much easier/faster to video with my daughter’s help and she finishes high school next week!!!!

    • LoLaBu June 1, 2011 at 11:29 Log in to Reply

Sure, you can post it then! I won’t have internet access from 11th to 24th June, but can watch it then. And yes, Puppy 3 is a repetition of this class, so Foundations are definitely a better choice for you! In autumn, I’ll probably open a new tricks class for puppy class graduates, that would be more interesting for you as doing Puppy again!

    Hi Guys,
Any tips on how to pick music?
My video is done, and I published it on YouTube, but my music violates copyright laws.

  6. Nancy June 1, 2011 at 18:07 Log in to Reply

Hi Jennifer, I had the same problem and used “Youtube” music that was almost exactly the length of my video. I think we have stricter rules here than in Europe. If you use the “Youtube” music it overwrites everything and you just have the music and no clicks or voice. I figured it at least hid the late clicks! Just go to your video and look for the music tab.

    Good luck,

    Nancy

  7. Jennifer June 1, 2011 at 18:40 Log in to Reply

Thanks Nancy! I just loaded another video with a different song, so now I have 2 versions. The first one was actually blocked for most European countries. Who knows how they figure that….

    Here it goes….

Wow--Instead of seeing Buddy transform from a small puppy we got see his spirit transform. I love his little play bow at the end. It really tells the whole story of your journey.

Oh, it’s made such a huge difference!! The Happy Recall is our biggest acomplishment, before he was always shy and unsure what would happen.
You could also call this video “How to rehabilitate your adopted misfit” 🙂

    • Jennifer June 1, 2011 at 19:12 Log in to Reply

Silvia, I would like the CikCap video, please. I think it will be useful for AF class.
I can’t thank you enough for all your great advice! 🙂

        In your mail 🙂

    • LoLaBu June 1, 2011 at 21:31 Log in to Reply

What a nice, happy video! Very impressive how far you got with ball rolling, considering his size! I see bowl stacking is going well now too! One thing about cik&cap though: practice multi wraps, circling around the pole in the same direction. Figure 8 don’t challenge them enough as they come from the right direction for a turn anyway: circles are much harder to be tight with!

      • Jennifer June 1, 2011 at 21:54 Log in to Reply

OK, we will work on multiwraps with our new video 🙂 Thank you so much!
What a nice gesture to give free videos!
We had a great time learning so many new things and it has improved our relationship so much. We went from “Bad Human!” to “You’re kinda fun”!

        • LoLaBu June 1, 2011 at 22:00 Log in to Reply

Yeap, it definitely shows! You make a really great team now, I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with Foundations too!

    • LoLaBu June 1, 2011 at 21:32 Log in to Reply

And yes, it’s usually in Europe that it gets blocked, very rarely in US.

    • Eva June 1, 2011 at 22:35 Log in to Reply

OHHHH Jennifer! What a nice sweet video!!! He is a big tedy bear 🙂 !!!! He looks so happy!!! Congratulations for all your hard Work, you should be proud of him and yourself! I know you dont think so, but you two look like a real team! See you in AF, I think we are going to have fun there!!

      • Jennifer June 1, 2011 at 22:40 Log in to Reply

Oh, Thank you so much, how sweet of you to say that! 🙂

I am sending this video to everyone I know 🙂

    • camilla June 2, 2011 at 01:03 Log in to Reply

YAY!!! Awesome -- i loved the speedy recall at the very start and his smile -- that says it all 🙂 I’m glad someone else has to nearly do the splits to get a backwards weave!
Grace & I are cramming for exams at the moment, so won’t be able to do our grad vid until early July 🙁 In the meantime, watching everyone else’s vids is going to ensure that i don’t go too crazy. I’m hoping i can channel some of Gracie’s cleverness to make it through 🙂

Hi Jennifer! (I thought I had already responded to your video but can’t find it back, maybe I didn’t click on “Submit comment”)
Great video, funny when he was already starting with “ballrolling” while you were still getting cookies. (“I’ll start if you don’t mind” 😉 ) See you in AF class (?)

      hallo Jennifer,

      LG

    Hi classmates and “teach”

Here is our latest video 🙁
(We didn’t complete most of the tricks, like: limping, and some we didn’t even started like: figure 8 but we will definitely work on those!!)

!!I hope you can here the music, please let me know if you don’t!!

We have had so much fun and learned so much during this class.
Now and then it was a little bit difficult for me to catch up with all the conversations because of my not so good english (sometimes had to translate it first, or read it several times before I understood). But I did have seen all the video’s! 😀 You are GREAT classmates!

See you all in AF class!!

Oh gosh!! Thank you so much for all the sweet words!
For those who can’t see it: I’m busy uploading another video (the same but without the music), but the computer is sooooo slow. Few more minutes….

Oh boy, the bar is so high on future videos and training after Jin’s performance and your editing. I am so impressed. Nancy and Nero
