Puppy I graduation

That's it! Time to show off what you've learned in the class! Please post your graduation videos here. If you would prefer me to not post it to the website for everybody to see, let me know. Also, let me know which one of the training videos you would like to get as your graduation gift.

Oh my word this is now serious stuff. Can i ask please how long we have to get the video in please? Thanks so much we have loved every minute of this course so much.

Well, make it long enough to fit everything you want to in it 🙂 There is so min. or max. length, its’ up to you.

I’m a bit behind… it’s raining a lot here and I’m sick. I should leave for a week the day after tomorrow (if I’m ok…). So I don’t think I will be able to make the video before next week. It’s been a great experience, we loved your class.

O.k., no problem! Get well soon!

Just spent a rainy day working on the first half of the graduation video. It took all day because all the cute little puppy videos were so distracting and I had to watch them all again. Nero loved reviewing things he had learned long ago and was pretty good through multiple filming sessions. I’m trying to learn I-movie so that I can have fancier titles, but find the simplicity of the Flip software to be much easier in the short term. Good luck to everyone else on this process.

How long will we have access to this puppy classroom to watch all these videos and read the comments?

    • LoLaBu May 25, 2011 at 15:18 Log in to Reply

I think it will stay on for a while, till July for sure.

  5. Kati May 25, 2011 at 15:21 Log in to Reply

That’s nice! I’m training these things with 3 dogs and it takes time… need to get back to some old videos and tips from time to time 🙂

    • LoLaBu May 25, 2011 at 15:29 Log in to Reply

Sure! I think it’s hard enough to follow even with one dog! 🙂 So yes, it definitely stays on till end of July, I’m actually thinking to just leave it up for ever, it’s good to sometimes review some old videos and it would be also nice to hear from participants here and there how they’re doing and see those dogs all grown up -- despite looks like I’ll be seeing many of them in Foundation class too 🙂

      • Jennifer May 26, 2011 at 00:15 Log in to Reply

Oh, that’s great, I have been watching and rereading tips and advice from earlier lessons on some tricks that we still need to improve on.
I realized a couple of days ago that sit up and hug/hold I have been doing it wrong this entire time. No wonder it didn’t work. 🙂
I gave up on frog, it just wasn’t happening at all, he does a nice backstretch though on his back 🙂
We will do some more practice for about another week and then make our final video, I definitely would like to have it done before AF class starts because then I will be busy with that.
So it’s ok to mix earlier footage with new?

        • LoLaBu May 26, 2011 at 16:40 Log in to Reply

Yes, of course, you should of course use the early footage too, we’re basically trying to make a sum up of everything we did in the class, I think it will be a nice souvenir for everybody, the one making it, other participants and me! I love reviewing old videos, I think this was one of my very first videos I did, I just saw it recently:

Here’s the graduation video for Nero. What a pile of tricks we learned (or not). This has been so much fun and has really “opened up my mind”.

Cool, you see little Nero and big Nero 🙂 So you mixed your footage a bit, but you have a lot of new stuff! Did you do that all in one day?!
Great job, Nancy! I love it!

oh, Nancy, I almost forgot…We are looking at flights to come out to Montana at the end of July. Yeah!
What was your email again? Maybe we can meet up in Bozeman 🙂

        • Nancy May 26, 2011 at 05:05 Log in to Reply

Thanks Jennifer, I’ve got some old footage, but mostly new. Nero had so much fun reviewing everything that we kept going and going. It’s been raining like mad for a week so that’s why the grass is so green. It took two full days to put that together, but I had lot’s of fights with Imovie on the Mac. Hopefully we’ve dried out by July. My email is nmcreel@bresnan.net. It would be a blast to meet up!
