Hi! I’ve recently started working on training a running contact for one of my dogs using a hit-it board just a little shorter than the size of the dog walk contact zone. Is that a tool that can be incorporated into your method? I like that the tone helps make it clear to me when there has been a hit -- and I noticed in one of the graduation videos a student ended up turning her mat into a de-facto hit-it board. So I thought it might work. Thank you!
Yes of course -- you can use hit-it board! In my RC DVD, you can see I use the beeping mat too (pressure alarm mat from Amazon) -- I have a preference for beeping mats over boards because they’re way cheaper and completely flat (no thickness), but hit-it board is definitely good as well!
