6 months!

photos, ta, To

6 months is normally my favorite age as that's when I start with some basic agility foundations, sends to cik&cap etc. But looks like this will happen a bit later with Ta! She is still such a puppy, completely out of proportions and varies in her growth a lot - from 0 to 2.5cm per week, so very  different from To who was always in the same proportions and grew exactly 1cm per week.

Ta however needs to figure out how long her legs are again every morning and is too busy with that to do much else! 🙂 And no, I'm not complaining, we have all the time she needs, I just wanted to let you know that in case you have Puppy Diary and/or Agility Diary, you shouldn't feel under pressure to keep up with what I've been doing with To at that age or another - puppies mature at different rates and it's important to give them time and not rush things or try things they aren't ready for yet.

So with Ta, we will keep working on body awareness tricks for now. I can certainly see a progress, she is much more coordinated when running in the woods now and she is getting faster&faster when playing with To or Bi as well.

Maybe a body-awareness class would be fun!!

Ha ha, it’s basically puppy class tricks in all possible forms -- like 101 ways to do cavalettis or 101 ways of a back up and 2on2off etc.

Woow these photos are so funny ! Espescially, the one where Ta is closing one eye and is looking at To with the other one! She looks so crazy ! I like following Ta’s adventure. I’m always very glad when you posted something new!!! And I haven’t commented your posts about toys and check list but I found them really interesting!!!

Two crazy, lovely, trico girls…such sweeties!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I completely agree with you, it’s really important to consider the health of our dogs first and training then…I admire you because I’m also a vet, so the health of my dogs it’s more important the all other things! You are the best teacher ever Silvia! ☺️

Definitely -- first things first! My dogs’ massages and check ups are by far the most expensive part of our agility!

Good to hear about your plans with Ta and not to try to keep up with the puppy diary video! I need reminders like this because I love to train and have 2 very willing dogs! I am dong a lot of socializing with Nina and have joined a dog club in our area as we have snow on the ground now and slippery conditions. The dog club has a lot of different surfaces and objects to explore and also a puppy play group for puppies under 4 months. More her size and less likely to get hurt when playing with other puppies. I will post from there too.

Yes! Don’t try to keep up with the puppy diary video,I can’t agree it more! I bought the puppy video when Kylin was 3 months old. We tried to learn the same skill at the same age like To, I was disappointed for a moment and we were under pressure for a while. But we forgot that now, we do all these things just for fun, not for any other things. So when I saw this article, yes, I can’t agree more! Thank you my best teacher!

Yes, I only saw this now that I have next puppy to compare to! WAAAY too advanced stuff for my goofy puppy!!! But slowly and surely, we’re getting there! 🙂
