World Champions team!!!
That's the one title we were missing 🙂 After multi National, European, European Team and World Champion titles and more 2nd and 3rd places in team AWC as I can count, we're now World Team Champions as well 🙂 Le ran like a pro, running 2/2 clean runs for our medium team - super proud of my Super Midget! Of course, if team runs would count for individual she would have won that too - again!!!
Our large team was very young and inexperienced this year (first AWC for 3/4 dogs and all 4 dogs under 4 years of age), so we didn't hold our hopes too high, but I'm actually really happy with To, handling the loud and scary atmosphere sooo well and making all the courses look easy. All I wish would be I could swap them and run large courses with Le and medium with To as the courses were really not on our side this year: large courses were crazy full of push+blind S's that is the hardest thing to clear for To and resulted in several bars - and overall not technical enough for smarty To. And medium courses were full of "broken lines" and somewhat crowded what is NOT good for my big dog in small body.
From some reason, they also both struggled with the surface - not slipping, but just not gripping as normally. They both felt way slower as on grass - seeing their videos, I actually can't believe how competitive their times were nevertheless. Well, there was never a doubt about Le, but To's times were really cool too, given that she felt much slower as on EO, that her shoulder didn't like the turf and we kept fighting the soreness and given that she thinks she is 3 (now 4) weeks pregnant and it's time to sleep, eat and cuddle!
After successful, but very looong Friday (in the hall from 7am to 10pm), Saturday was my worst day - NOT happy with our individual jumpings at all! Le's run was still clean, but so ugly we ended 6th (NOT good at all for Super Midget!) and To had 2 bars and lost lots of time on several places, so the only good thing was that her time was still surprisingly good!
Sunday started with Le's scary fly on see-saw - she thought it's DW and just flew over 🙁 - she didn't have a fly off on a see-saw for close to 3 years and she never flew it that much, so I really think she mixed it up...
But all in all, I'm actually super happy with all but Saturday runs, with how well my not-the-bravest To ran on her first AWC, with how well puppy Ta handled her first AWC opening and closing ceremonies and of course, with our brand new World Champion team title 🙂

Thank you Ugrin, Miha, Laduška and Nikuš for videos, Diamond for keeping my dogs in great shape and our team mates for all the exciting runs!
BRAVO for Le and her team world championship title ! I had only seen saturday and sunday courses on livestream. It’s a little miracle for To to participate to AWC after her health problem. And she did very great with speed similar to the best. I would like to have a dog that jump so great and the bars looks to me not dramatic. All bars have an explanation, those slicing the jump she is so tigh to the wing and paralell to the jump so she is trying very hard, probably one because of early take and one because she jumps in extension when you ask for collection. When I watched your run I though that the surface wasn’t the best you can expect for AWC and sure it affects the jump, but other handling like turn after running contact at full speed ! And you are right Le think that seesaw is the DW she fly in the air, problably she did hear or understood your cue from behind ? I always love to watch your course, even when the surface and the design aren’t ideal or not enough tricky for you !
Yes, I think she didn’t hear the cue well and in combination with me running hard to catch up, she was guessing it’s DW I think… On To’s bars, we need to work more, but it’s not easy as we need to keep her training to minimum, so we’re just happy with whatever we get 🙂
Congratulations for To’s pregnancy <3 I am so happy that you decide to do it 🙂 Also big congratulations for all of your runs! You are amazing "Trio Fantasticus"
Oh no, no, I wouldn’t run AWC with 3 weeks pregnant bitch!!! That’s just when she was in heat and after every heat, she THINKS she should sleep, eat and cuddle -- she is a very hormonal girl 🙂
It sound a bit strange to me, I have to admit, but I was so much looking forward to cuddle her puppies again, maybe it is a sign you have to to do it at one point 🙂
🙂 🙂 🙂 I hope she has better timing one day!!! -- Meaning not right after I get a new puppy and not 3 weeks before AWC (or tryouts!).
Congratulations, Silvia!!!
You are always the best. I especially admire your ability to let go, never give up and move on despite all difficulties. This is what brings you to the podium again and again, and your success is so sustainable! Looking forward to see your videos!
Thanks! All our runs are in the video above.
Huge congrats! ❤ You are amazing team!
Congratulations Silvia!! Baloo and I watched you from here… Question. People are complaining that the dogs were not performing their contacts as usual and it is not clear why (especially running A-frame). Did you notice that too? Elena
Yes, there was something strange about that AF that affected performance of many dogs. Never saw it before with any other AFs.
Congratulations on your amazing runs! Awesome team and dogs. We watched on the livestream from Texas at local agility that day. What fun, very exciting! I would love to go watch one day in person.
Yes, it’s a very unique atmosphere -- love it!
So impressive Silvia. I will be looking at your videos more closely and ask some questions. In the meantime, Congratulations!!!
Thanks Ann!
Super fun watching when I could. Not much chance as I was hiking in Switzerland! Now I need to catch up. I want to ask some questions, too, when I find the time. It did look to me like To wasn’t handling the surface like she did at EO. Other dogs looked funny to me, too, as if they seemed to struggle with the surface or lighting? Certainly there were a lot of really nice RDWs. Very fun to see more and more really nice RDWs now. 😀
It sure looks fun running such big, long courses. We never see that over here. I love to run, so watching the videos made me envious!!!!
To is funny, always wanting puppies! Do you think you might actually breed her some day?
Cool, I hope Switzerland was fun!!! I don’t think it was the lightening for my dogs, I noticed they are both much slower already in that trial in Slovakia (first time on turf in a year for Le and almost 2 years for To) and then a training in a hall we did, all with that same surface. I don’t quite get it as they weren’t slipping, just not powering/accelerating as much as usually -- I never noticed it to this degree before. Maybe the thick padding under the turf??? They have that in all 3 places I noticed that.
The courses I didn’t like so much this year as it was lots of the same thing over&over again with both judges and not that many challenges -- not many weave or discrimination challenges at all.
And yes, I hope I can breed To once, I love her first litter very much and definitely want her puppy!!! But it’s always hard to make it work without missing out AWC or qualis… -- October and November are the only two months we can breed without skipping agility season.
What to say about you….your results and your bond with these girls are the best proof you’re always working on the right way..
You make everything easy and funny to do and I can feel this when I see you and your girls run together on trials…this is the best thing I want to learn from you, not only for improving my runs with Ceres but also for creating something great, based on funny tricks to great agility style, with my next puppy in the future! You are special and please…..let’s go on let me dreaming
Chiara
Thank you Chiara!!! I think you and Ceres have a wonderful bond already!!!
