Le and To both qualified for AWC!!!

le, To, trials, world championships

So I guess Le is no surprise. After winning EO qualis with maximum possible amount of points, she won AWC Small+Medium qualifications as well and I've just learned that she also gathered so much points for National Championships by the end of May already (our National Championships is a series of trials from April to October), that she can't be beaten anymore either ha ha - so I guess she will also be National Champion 2017, for 6th year in a row, at age of 7 years πŸ™‚ (will be 7.5 at the time she wins it officially). She sure never cease to amaze me πŸ™‚ Of course, she is told how brilliant she is at least hundred times a day, but brilliant might be understatement.

But now to a real surprise! There is no doubt To is pretty brilliant as well, but things usually don't go as planned with her - be it we're raising her 7 surprise puppies or rest 6 months because of all the misdiagnoses on her toe - that keeps surprising all the specialists. But to my big surprise and despite we didn't have any such plans as we were both just being happy that she can do a little bit of agility again - she somehow managed to qualify for World Championships on the way as well - both team and individual πŸ™‚ I guess that funny little dog just REALLY likes surprises!

She is definitely by far the easiest dog to handle that I've ever had and can run just about any course thanks to her listening skills, even with very minimum training (we still don't dare to do much to make sure to keep her sound). But bars are sure not our friend... I think ALL our faults in those qualifications were bars πŸ™ So we sure have some work to do, but will have to keep it to minimum, so we will stay goal-less, have fun and run fast - that's all I can promise, the rest will be a surprise I guess πŸ™‚

What makes it even better is that To is the 7th dog I've had in my life - and at the same time, my 7th dog to qualify for World Championships!!! πŸ™‚

Gotta warn you: I tear up very easily when I get happy on behalf of others achievements, small or big! Seing Bu run at the last AWC, still happy and trying her best at her age, is only one example. I can only imagine how it will get to me, seing To happy and about on the agilityfield after all the misery she’s been through! So concider yourself warned and don’t be surpriced when I congratulate you πŸ˜‰

Good! We just got home from a week vacation and weekend at agility camp, she was great and no trouble with her shoulder! We missed the qualifying events for nationals though so we are just relaxing this summer. I’m going to try to fit Xtreme class in I hope. πŸ™‚ I’m excited for next year!
