We missed you Corsica!!!

hiking, photos

We stopped going to Corsica years ago, when France prohibited dogs in National Parks. However, seems like Corsica didn't follow as we didn't see a single "no dogs" sign, not in National Parks and not even on the busiest beaches - we sure love Corsica!!!

We didn't do as much hiking as planned though as on a very first hike, we completely destroyed Bu's pads 🙁 I think the problem was I cut the hair between her pads just 2 weeks ago - I remembered then that might not be the best idea and let the others with hairy feet. That certainly helped Le and To, but Bi is not that lucky with hair and we had to resort to yoga mat taped on her paws... But Bu couldn't walk at all, not even with yoga mat boots, so we mostly stayed at beaches this time and did tons of swimming - the dogs didn't complain at all! Oh, well, To did complain a bit about not letting her swim 24/24...

And well, there aren't many things that get me out of the bed before 10am... But having this beach all for ourselves sure is one of them!!! 🙂

Well, to be honest, To helped to get us there super early - she normally respects the 10am rule (even her firstborn was born 5min over 10am 🙂 ) - but definitely NOT when her swimming has to wait! It's sure not easy to keep this dog out of the water!!! I think she wants to set a world record in for how long and how fast a dog can swim - and she takes it VERY seriously.

I sure envy her the ability to swim in every cold mountain lake!!!

Bu's pads healed surprisingly fast though, so she could soon join us in the sea - and then even for short trips to the mountains, with yoga mat boots on of course.

The water sure is beautiful there. So clear! Looks like a perfect place to take dogs! I think I would have to join To with lots of swimming, but only in the warmer water. 🙂
