Day 3: showing different personalities already

photos, puppies!, To

To is still proving to be a great mum, doing all the work and taking great care of puppies. She doesn't allow other dogs to come anywhere close and she stays with the puppies 24/7. I need to drag her out to pee, she fights against it fiercely. The only thing that is more important as her puppies is her morning sprint. I was totally surprised when I took other dogs for a walk the morning after and she came flying out of that box, forgetting all about the puppies. She is skipping tricks sessions and dinner preparations with no objections - but not her morning sprint!

Puppies are doing great and starting to show their personalities more&more.

DSC_3354

The green one is The Fighter, born as by far the smallest and having some trouble to drink at first, but then turned out to be a real fighter and is the most active in the litter now, setting absolute record in weight gain in 12 hours and fighting much bigger brothers for the best nipples.

DSC_3307

The black one is The Biggest and very confident, knowing exactly what he wants, either drinking or sleeping calmly, without a single worry in the world.

DSC_3342

The white one is The Unstoppable. If he decides he wants a drink, you can keep setting him aside to let smaller brothers drink, but he will keep coming back, climbing any obstacle, not taking no for an answer. - I guess he got that from his father 🙂

DSC_3322

The grey one is The Perfectionist - he is the loudest and likes the things his way.

DSC_3336

The yellow one is The Sweetest and the prettiest. A real mommy's boy. He was born last - he likes to take things easy.

DSC_3341

The blue one is The Wisest - he is happy to do whatever you want - drink, sleep, cuddle. He was a first-born and sure made it look easy! He seems to know it all already and is acting like a pro at everything he does (not that he does all that much - but one has to start somewhere, right?) -  I think he will end just as easy to train and handle as his mother.

The girl is The Explorer. She has no problems throwing her brothers off the best nipples - and then after a good drink, she never hangs out with others, but instead takes a crawl around the whelping box, climbing any objects she can find: legs, phones, laptops etc. And she LOVES to cuddle! Very independent, determined and brave!

And ah, did I mention they're all just sooo beautiful:

Awwww, they are SO cute!!! Really enjoyed the way you described each and every one of them, and am looking forward to see if the first impression of their personalities lasts 🙂

It’s fascinating how time can fly by when you have puppies. I remember sitting for hours just contemplating my litter, loving them SO much even if they were just a few days old. These moments are simply precious. <3 And good momma To 🙂 Enjoy those 2 months as they will go by so so so fast!!

So fascinating you already are seeing personalitys!! Never knew that before from breeders this early, cool!
Really cute to read their names and characteristics 🙂 <3

Yeah, you can see a lot if sitting next to them the whole day 🙂 But of course, it can still change, it’s just so interesting I had to share! 🙂

I always thought newborns are boring, but it is SO far from the truth. When you watch them closely they have really strong features. And I am pretty sure that you can very easily pick out a puppy with weaker nerves almost from the moment they are born. They simply start complaining about everything very early on. 😀
Little Ups’es are super cute indeed, but my vote goes for little mr. Green. Although the Yellow guy is truly handsome!

And p.s. -- registering for your site is nuclear science! 😛

Yay more puppy photos! Can never complain about puppy love! <3 <3

This is really interesting. It'll be fun to see how they change as they grow. Too funny she could not miss her morning run!
