Moravia Open etc.
Moravia Open is one of my favorite competitions - really great venue and always really fun courses. A trip there this year started with taking the dogs for a walk - as always meaning a sprint rather as walk to Bi - but this time she missed the turn around the fence and crashed with a shoulder into a metal... ๐ She ended with a very swollen and painful biceps, so Moravia was over for her before we even started the trip... But she is recovering really nicely now, so hopefully she can run EO... No training before is NOT a good starting point for Bi, but I sure hope we can run anyway as running with just two dogs would be quite a shock after all those years running 4!
Another news is that I gave up on stays with Le, during our WC qualifications. I think La must have whispered her the secret that you only really have to stay in unimportant trials, but can start any time you want in really important trials... Of course, Le is always right in knowing which is which, so at this point, it's impossible to train in trials (since it's perfect in the ones where I could train...) and I just decided to start from hand, even in trials where I could redo - just to practice this new way of starting. - And I have to say I love it!!! ๐ No more stressing over stays, just drop and run. I feel like home and Le is very happy to continue Silvia's PyrSheps tradition as well ๐ I guess my PyrSheps know me all too well... I'm a bit worried what will happen to see-saws though - they have been soooo good for more than a year now - what must be my personal record! But I can see she is testing the waters with see-saws as well now... The rest is all going great and we won many runs at Moravia Open, some even with 10s of advantage ๐
To is still my best listener and had no problems with tricky courses. She also set several best times - and would be a real superstar if she didn't also set a record in knocked bars... Ugh, certainly time to focus on those bars now!!!
Good old Bu did great for her 9,5 years - and 35 degrees C, ending 3rd on Friday and 2nd on Sunday, running as clean and smooth as only Bu can!

If Running Contacts make one smile…Le makes me smile more ๐
Sounds like it was so hot there! I would have melted. Certainly hope Bi feels better soon, I would tell her to take care of herself but she would not listen!
She sure is so cute she can get away with anything ๐ And Bi says she is perfectly fine anyway and should be allowed to run already!
I hope Bi is recovering 100% for EO … I known this feeling you can have when your BC comes back to you limping or reeling after he crashed… When Garlic and Jimson chassing each in turn, Garlic is running so fast that Jimson wants to run faster. But Garlic can run into small space that Jimson can’t take. And what must hapen, happens -- Jimson crashed either on a tree or on a wall …
We wish you the best fun for EO !!!
Oh no, really?! Bi is not very careful about her body, but I never had something like this happen before, it looked really bad and I’m actually surprised how well she is doing now!
Le really made my day today! Is this some common dog secret about the stays?! ๐ It is exactly the same with my older dog, he also found out that it is not so important to stay in important trials! Hope he just don’t tell this to Batman!! ๐
Yeah… I think dogs would be way easier to train if they weren’t THAT smart! ๐
I always look forward to these videos from your trials. It’s so nice that you are honest also about the failures. I really appreciate seeing both failures and success as failures are the essential part of clicker training. Thank you for sharing!
I love Le’s new start line!! Hogan says “See, I told you staying was a waste of time.” ๐
It’s great to watch your runs -- I learn so much every time. Thanks for posting!
