Back from WAO!

bi, le, my videos, To, trials

Only 31 runs this year for me as I only entered Le and Bi first - and then added To as well since there was a free spot left - just for her to gather experience on new obstacles. And well, she did a bit more as that πŸ™‚

WAO 2015 - ToLeBi

I'm really extra proud of To, my 18 and a half months old puppy, that same puppy you can see in Puppy Diary being afraid of a clicker and the sound the water makes when dogs are running through it... - doing so well at her first ever big event! She showed really great skills and set all the best times of all jump heights, beating even speedy little Le!!! - So I guess she is getting faster in trials now πŸ™‚ She is still not as fast as at home, so her contacts were all very high as she insists on 4 strides, but doesn't open up as much as at home yet, but other as that, she did just brilliantly, had no problems with courses, qualified for all finals, won Biathlon (and both runs of it) and could win Games if only I didn't raise the hand a little bit too much in Gamblers and sent her to the finish jump after first 2 obstacles of our perfect plan - that's the only one run I am really sorry we didn't get right as the plan was just brilliant πŸ™‚ With everything else, I was as happy as it gets, she did everything exactly like told and her times sure made me smile!

My super midget did great as well, she sure loved those distances (that made her forget everything she ever knew about cik&cap ha ha) and did just great, it was mostly only To who could beat her in time. She ran all her 4 team runs clean for our team, but in other classes, we had a very weird series of missed A-frames that took many wins away... - No idea what happened to her 100% AF... I'm very happy with everything else, but we definitely need to check what's up with those AFs once we get some rest. She still won several runs and won silver in Games and definitely set a record by gathering 46 points in opening of the Gamblers. When we asked Canadians and Americans if we can plan 16 obstacles for the opening they said no way. So we did 18 instead πŸ™‚ Β - but then unfortunately missedΒ the closing because I turned her too soon after the tunnel... She still ended 3rd in Gamblers thanks to that master plan though πŸ™‚

Bi had moments of brilliance as well - but lack of training in past months certainly showed up and she started off with many bars - that got better once she got used to 65cm (we only see 60cm in trials around here), but we then started a series of refusals, so her only two rosettes are one from 3rd place in Snooker and one from winning Team run. - She always makes sure to keep me humble πŸ™‚

I loved seeing you run in reall life!! (I’m from the netherlands, it was only 40 minutes drive to WAO location for me so I could go to WAO to watch πŸ˜€ ).
Your dogs are so amazingly fast, and the awesome cik&caps from To made me smile so much! A pitty some contacts were missed πŸ™
Can’t wait to run courses with Sum and have as much fun with him as I think you have with your dogs running πŸ™‚ Just playing with my best friend πŸ˜€ And can’t wait to join foundationsclass this summer.
    you are a true inspiration!

WOW!!! To see To running like that is truly stunning!!!!! She was such a little nervous girl in her puppy video, to see her look so confident and fast is really super!!!!! I can only imagine how happy you are!!!!

They are all sooooo awesome!! Haha we stayed up super late to see To’s first run and her weaves just looked AMAZING especially in the context of watching other dogs in that class. I see what you mean about the four strides on the DW. She sure tries though, wow.

Yes, I’m very happy with her weaves. She has great style and entries -- she missed only one so far and it was because I used wrong hand and she was expecting weaves in the other direction, stupid handler! πŸ™‚ Her contacts in trials are not good at the moment, but I’m not really worried, I a kind of expected that from her. She is much better if I can stay behind, but most courses don’t allow that.

Wow Silvia, you are just the best. Many congrats, especially to little To!! I don’t think she could have given you a better advertisement for the second half of Puppy Diaries…I am looking forward to seeing it sooo much!

Huge congratulations !!! Really fun to watch your videos (even tho I watched all of your runs already during ;)) couldn’t resist! SO impressed with To’s performance as you said many times: champions are not born they are RAISED. YES. You must be SO thrilled πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ All three girls looked GREAT. What happened than you decided to leave Bu behind ?

    • LoLaBu May 21, 2015 at 11:34 Log in to Reply

Thanks!!! We had lots of interest in 650 category and very little in 525, so I decided to give Bu’s spot to another girl who wanted to go and added To instead -- running 4 dogs last year, with 43 runs, was a bit too exhausting πŸ™‚ We sure did miss Bu for team runs though!

Glad that I didn’t exaggerate when I told you YOU could do 17/18 with your dogs on gambling. Congrats with all your titles, as always a privilige to watch you run.

    • LoLaBu May 21, 2015 at 11:34 Log in to Reply

Yes, you were right! We started with 16 plan, then switched to 13 -- and then ended with 18 πŸ™‚
