Great! I would like to join this class with Pepi! What do you think abaout jumping with a dog of 9 months? We talked about this question in poodle forum, and the members which do Agility, were of the mind that a dog under 18 months shouldn’t jump at all, and all people who started with their dogs earlier, and took low bars, or bars at the ground, had later the problem, that their dogs jumped not properly, not high enough, and tended to pull down bars.
If you think it makes sense for me to join this class, I would need your bank details, because I have no paypal account. And an other question: Am I a repeater? I did this class last year, but with an other dog.
    kind regards
    Susanne & Pepi

I bet that was a German forum! 🙂 My experiences are of course the opposite, the dogs who are introduced to full height jumps immediately mostly jump too high, inefficient and don’t know the difference between collection and extension. So especially with poodles, as they often jump too high, are too airy and don’t extend well, I would strongly recommend adding height VERY gradually. I don’t know even one Poodle though that would knock bars 🙂 But many who jump so high their times are just not competitive.

For bank account datas, just click on “training videos” -- it’s there!

sure, it was a German forum, what else ;)?
And about my other question: Am I repeater?

          Sure!

“Puppies over 6 months without any agility experience are welcome too!”

I read this after writing my post above :). Therefore; yes, I would like to join this class, and need your bank details to transfer the money.

For this class, you need at least 3 (even better 5) jumps and a tunnel or, even better, two.

I live in the U.S What are the cost in U.S dollars for your videos? And about what is the time frame for getting them once you place an order? How long can one expect it to take for them to get to the U.S Thanks

    • LoLaBu September 20, 2012 at 20:21 Log in to Reply

Copying the answer from the Heeling page: The DVDs normally take 1 week, max. 10 working days, to get to US. On “training videos” page, all the prices are in usd too, but as the price is fixed in euro, you will only get the exact amount for that day if you enter “XY euros to usd” in Google. For your schutzhund dog, the best videos would be Heeling is just another trick and also Tricks for a great bond to get started with some fun tricks. For your agility dog, the best videos are Cik&Cap and Ready-Steady-GO! and also Tricks for balance, strength and coordination. Hope that helps! Welcome to dog training world – it’s a wonderful wonderful world!

I’m doubting on taking which class. I currently follow the puppy class, she is now 4 months and a real handfull :p. I was interested in the foundations as well as the running contacts class but this will all together be a bit too much to handle at the same time I think. New foundations started in april I believe you told me? When does new running contacts in 2013 start? Which is the better choice to take first? Thanks en best of luck at the wc!

    • LoLaBu October 9, 2012 at 13:24 Log in to Reply

It actually doesn’t matter which one you take first, but as your puppy is still so young, I would recommend taking RC class first (as it starts later as Foundations and she will be just the right age) and then Foundations in spring. Three classes at the time would be A LOT of work yes!

      • Evelien Moyaers October 11, 2012 at 09:48 Log in to Reply

Thanks, we’ll do it like that then 😉 -- I really want her to go for the running contacts! Since we’re still catching up on puppy class though we’re almost there thanks to the break (good idea!). Spring is also better for more training anyway. Yes, she is still young and her focus is really short sometimes so we only move in little steps forward but we’ll get where we want to be in the end 😉

Definitely! Taking it easy and building everything slowly is always the fastest way to the goal! 🙂

Hi Silvia, I am adding a puppy to the family next monday, he’ll be 8 weeks and I was just wondering if it is too late to join your puppy class? and also if 8 weeks is to young?

Also I watched most of the FCI championships streaming live online, congratulations on all your awesome runs, Le really smoked that individual agility course!

    • LoLaBu October 9, 2012 at 14:11 Log in to Reply

Thanks! 🙂 And well, it’s never too late or too early to learn! Since you missed some weeks, you probably won’t be able to master all the tricks, but that’s not the goal anyway, the goal is to start them right, make it all about the fun and let them learn at their own rate… -- so you’re welcome to join the fun!

    Hi Silvia,

Maia and I definitely need to revisit foundations again, especially her weave entries at top speed from straight on! She misses them almost all the time. Do I sign up as a repeating student? And if I do, do I get to participtate and send in videos?

    Thank you,

    Ania

    • LoLaBu October 11, 2012 at 12:26 Log in to Reply

Yes, you are repeating student and can send videos and all as a repeater. See you in class!

    Oh great, thank you!
Tomorrow the money is on the way. 🙂

How does it work? Will we get the tasks via email? And.. can I start even if you don’t get the money ’till monday?

The homework is published to the classroom that you get an access to. All questions and videos of others are posted there too, so you can get a pretty good idea on the tasks.
