Le, the actress
With a little delay because of the April Camp: happy 2nd birthday to my little midget!!! She is a little monster when it comes to work, but a real cat at home, always sleeping at the back of the sofa and demanding to be pet. Hard to believe after this video of her at 5 weeks, fighting her littermates 🙂
Remember when I said that if Bu was a person, she would be a mathematician? Well, there is no doubt about Le either: if Le was a person, she would be an actress! She would be famous for her victim roles.
Le possesses amazing acting skills, you should see how she looks like when she needs to get off agility field and her friends can stay there! She is fine if we all go to the house, no torture signs there. But if I leave one of the dogs on agility field and only take Le to the house - she will lie down, look away, lick her lips and make you believe I'm going to beat her in that house!
I also remember World Championships in Germany, when Le was just a puppy and got to come along, but of course needed to spend quite some time in a crate and she doesn't really like that. And first day was really cold, so when I saw her freezing in a crate, I took her to a hall with me, it was just a training day anyway. She was again shaking the next day, so I put some extra blankets in and over the crate to keep the poor puppy warm... But she just kept shaking even the third day, with the sun out and a real warm day and many dogs in the same car! That's when I started to get suspicious and asked a friend to check on Le first when we came to the car. She said she looks fine and happy, so I came close too - and my poor puppy was shaking terribly! I moved away from the car and left my friend there and that's how we caught her on a lie: she was only shaking when I came close and was perfectly fine when I was not in her view!
On that same World Championships, she decided to give a hard time to a dog from our team, play-attacking her all the time just as she does to her best friend Bi - but Bi likes it and this dog didn't and tried to tell her that by snapping towards her. We all saw she never touched my puppy, she just snapped towards her ribs. Le decided to attack again anyway and that's when that dog's owner stepped towards her and said "no" to stop her. Le looked at her with her victim eyes, curved her back, started crying and looking at the spot the poor dog was snapping towards a minute ago (!), trying to make us believe she is just a victim and almost got bitten into two parts! Nobody believed her, but she insisted for quite a while before she gave up and her back started to look not-broken again 🙂
Also, when at home and her favourite spot on a sofa is taken, she will start to alarm bark so that everybody goes running to check things out and she can get what she wants. And when her best friend Bi won't play with her, she will go get a toy, jump on a back of a sofa and launch that toy down, in Bi's direction of course, so that Bi can't say no, goes to get the toy and then plays with her. From some strange reason, Le even tricked La into liking her! La doesn't really like other dogs and wants to be left alone, but she has very high unexpected tolerance towards Le and while she of course won't play with her, if she needs to share a sofa, she will always pick Le.
Yeap, she is really good! She has her tortured puppy act polished to perfection. It's just AMAZING how smart dogs are!!! They keep surprising me and make me laugh at their brilliant ideas every day!

Happy birthday little Le! <3
happy birthday Le! i remember you in summer 2010 when you attacked poor Silvia as a monster! and yes pyrenean shepherd can be really imaginative (i presume others breeds too, but i only live with PS 🙂 )
Oh, attacking is still her favourite game! 🙂 And she is definitely the most creative from all my dogs!
Happy birthday little, cute devil 🙂 with the biggest smile I have ever seen !!
Happy birthday cool little Le! 🙂
Aw, happy birthday to Le!!! She sure was a crazy puppy!!!!
WAS!! STILL a crazy pup! Just the way she should be. Happy Birthday Le.
Happy Birthday, Le! Here in Germany, many people sing for their children a lullaby whose title ist “LaLeLu”. Every time, I have read your name here in Silvia’s blog, I had to think about it. So as I have heard, you like sleeping on the couch? So now I simply must dedicate it to you and think, a lullaby is most suitable for a couch lover. 🙂
I wish you a birthday full of tasty bones, soft couches, smelly treats and a dozen of tender hands stroking your fur.
Here is your song (it’s from a very famous old black/white movie):
Best wishes from Malaika, BorderCollie
(erm -- with her human strokehands Melinda and Ingrid…)
Oh, that’s a cute song 🙂 They should change it to LaLeBu 🙂
Happy birthday!! The perfect dog for the perfect owner… You value your dogs’ skills like no other person I know. And it’s just amazing to see her run like crazy as La does. Le, the actress… 🙂

Are you sure Le is not a whippet in disguise?? :-). The alarm barking to get the dogs off the couch so she can get her favorite spot sounds sooooo familiar 🙂
Happy birthday to Le!
Her sister reminds her a lot:) Play-attacking is Ruu´s favourite hobby too, added with lot of noise..
And yes, Ruu is also very talented in acting and getting all sympathy and empathy to herself, even if she´s always the “bad guy”:)
greetings from Finland
Minna and Ruu
Happy birthday to Ruu too!!! And yes, whenever I see Ruu’s videos it’s almost scary -- they look, run and behave sooo much the same that it’s almost scary! I didn’t know Ruu knows the poor puppy act too though! 🙂 Would be GREAT to see you two in live -- any chance you’re coming to EO???
Hmm… maybe I need to start sending someone else to check on Ruby as well…
Happy birthday, little actress 🙂
