my videos, ta, trials

So little Ta did her last exam for A3 in her 1st run last weekend (in her 7th trial!) - so we focused on just running fast(er) for the rest of the weekend. And I'm happy to say I was too slow on some places - that's a first with her! Here are all our runs (Saturday+Sunday):

Ta ZG

And no, the others didn't get to run because A3 started at 8am and well, I have more important things as agility to do at that hour!!! - Like sleep!

Looking forward to tryouts in May with all three! We'll keep working on our speed and skills till then!

Wow, Silva! Ta looks amazing!!!! So fast and quick! Very cool! How tall is she? She looks like a wee one!!

She is 47,5cm and 11kg, so she barely looks like a BC… More like a Border Pap. Not as fast as To or Le just yet, but getting better!

Ahhh… that’s what I would have guessed! My Billy (almost 6 months old) has the potential to be wee too. The 24” jumps don’t seem to be a problem for her! Super cool!

I don’t like her jumping style too much (I think she is losing lost of time in the air), so we keep working on it, but the height as such is definitely no problem no, she is very light on her feet and she almost never has a bar -- soo refreshing!!! 🙂 How interesting the males can stay that small as well! But well, he sure still has time to grow! 🙂

Well, that is very interesting. I just bought your new Foundation video and watched the very first part where you show Ta’s jumping and what you think is problematic, then you show grid work:)) Wow! Do you remember the problems Jimmy had with awkward late take off? He still loses time because he isn’t the most efficient jumper and adds strides when he doesn’t need to. Jumping issues are the hardest thing to fix, I think:)) Unfortunately, Billy is a week shy of 6 months old and can’t do your Foundation class but I plan to follow along with the video:)))

Yes, definitely the hardest! But the weirdest thing is that Ta never knocks, but has a bunch of other jumping issues (jumping from the front end and high head is what I dislike the most). -- While To doesn’t have a single issue like that and does all the grids perfectly… -- and yet she is quite a knocker (better as she was, but still!). Ta used to take off too early on low jumps, had a number of bad crashes, then I heavily encouraged coming closer to a jump -- and now she sometimes adds strides and jumps too late -- but still better as too early! Eventually, we’ll get there!

And yes, that’s a bit early for Billy… But if you want to join anyway and just focus on puppy friendly things rather as trying to do the whole program, that’s o.k. with me -- we do have some younger ones as well who will just take it easy and focus on flat work.

Thanks for sharing your videos. I always look forward to them. Such a treat watching you run. You and Ta are sure inspiring. Envious of Ta’s see saw and killer DW, but realize they don’t just happen…they represent lots of effort. I had the opportunity to speak with NATIONAL CHAMPION Jennifer at AKC Nationals before she was crowned. We discussed your new Foundations Class while waiting in a very slow moving food line. Love making connections with such inspiring classmates through your classes.

Not nearly as much effort as her jumping, but I guess something has to be easy! 🙂 And yes, super proud of Jennifer & Jimmy!!! I sure hope Razzles can run next year as well, she is sooo cool!!!

Wow, Silvia… so interesting the comparison between Ta and To. Speaking of knockers, Michael continues to be a huge challenge, primarily on slices (sounds like To!!!). He just doesn’t understand how to get around the wing with enough room to clear the bar correctly. Jimmy isn’t a knocker, but has a less than perfect style. I am hoping Billy turns out to be PERFECT!! I will watch your whole Foundation video and see if it makes sense to add Billy now. When will the class repeat?

Thanks John, for your kind words (and yours too, Silvia!). I very much enjoyed hanging out in the food line with you!

Next Foundations will start beginning of October. And yeah, I just use barriers for slices all the time now, to avoid crashes.

So happy for you both!!! Ta is gradually improving and I think you two will rock trials soon! She is a little, nice pixie ‍♀️
    Congrats teacher!!!
