October Foundations now open

Registration for October Foundations is now open. We'll be starting with the first homework on October 19, but you can register and enter the classroom already now to check out pre-homework 🙂 - and look around the classroom!

Our major focus will be teaching great cik&cap in order to get tight turns, great distance skills, sends, extension and collection all at the same time, putting it in sequences to make it even more fun for the dogs and to practice some basic handling. We'll also be addressing speed&motivation issues and start with weaves, see-saw and contacts. Since all the feedback is completely personalized, it's appropriate for all levels - we had everybody puppies to World Team members in this class.

We'll address all the topics addressed in Foundations video + see-saw and weaves:

Foundations Fun DVD trailer

WARNING: unlike in previous classes, we'll be sticking to max. 10 minutes of videos per lesson (in total that means 60 min in 12 weeks of the class) and to sending/discussing contacts only when those lessons are out (so in 2nd and 6th lesson - all together for 4 weeks).

Minimum age at the beginning of the class is 6 months, minimal equipment needed: 3 jumps, a tunnel and Foundations DVD. Agility Diary is recommended, but not requested. Appropriate for all levels, from total beginners to experienced dogs who could use better turns, more independence or speed. The class has 6 lessons, one every 2 weeks = 12 weeks of feedback (+ 2 weeks of a catch-up break in between).

Repeaters price is only for people who are taking this class again with the same dog. If you took the class before with another dog, choose participant option.

Please make sure your are registered and logged in before you proceed to paying with paypal - this will ensure you will get your correct access automatically.

in case you already have the DVD, choose this participant option  - 200 EUR / cca 225 USD

    Hi Silvia,

My dog is about 4 1/2 years old and we have just started trialing in AKC novice agility. It is frustrating because she seems more interested in sniffing around and saying hi to the volunteers in the ring than running agility with me. Of course my handling could use a bit of work too. You can see for yourself here " rel="nofollow ugc">https://. I am interested in taking your courses but was wondering if it is a good idea to sign up for the Oct Foundations and then do the Puppy class in Dec. Or should I do the Puppy course first and then Foundations after?

    Thanks,
    Tracie

Yes, I think both classes would be very beneficial for her. No problem to start with Foundations, so you can start already now. She shows really nice speed at times, we just need to make it more fun and clear for her.

Great! I’ll sign up right now! I can’t wait to get started.

Will the video actually be downloaded on my computer or will I just have access to it? Does it take up a lot of space? Sorry, just not real tech saavy. I don’t have the video, and would like to sign up for the class.

Yes, the video is saved to your computer (or ubs stick or dvd) for ever after a download. It’s 1,3GB.
