NEW!!! – BeyondFoundations class

Yay, a new class! BEYOND Foundations class discusses Which line - Which move - And Why.

https://

NEW!!! - BeyondFoundations online class Trailer

This class was created for all who finished Foundations, but then found Handling either too difficult - or don't have enough room/obstacles for it. For this class, you only need 1 tunnel and 6 jumps. Actually, even just 4 jumps alone will make it possible to run everything, broken in parts. It fills the gap between mastering Foundations and then transferring all those skills to a real course, choosing the best line for your dog in combination with the best handling move for you.

All the sequences in this class are taken from recent trials - that either I ran or we discussed in Graduates class. I on purpose picked those where there were many possible handling options - both on which move to choose and on which line to choose. We'll try various options on the same set up and you can then time them to see which one is fastest for your dog. We'll try all other options too, just to be ready for any challenge agility course can bring.

You will get a new sequence to run each week, together with a video where I show various options with my dogs and video comparisons in slow motion + analysis of what worked best etc.  - and then you can try the same with your dog and post a video. We'll also discuss how to choose best and most efficient line and handling in trials, so you are welcome to send course maps from your trials/training that you want to discuss as well.

The class starts with the first sequence on August 26, but you can register and then enter the classroom already now. See you in class!

Duration:

5 sequences, one each week = 5 weeks of feedback + 1 week of a catch up break in between

Requirements:

  • 6 jumps (you can get away with just 4 as well), 1 tunnel
  • appropriate for all dogs with basic foundations
Please make sure your are registered and logged in before you proceed to paying with paypal - this will ensure you will get your correct access automatically.

Wohoo sounds perfect for Sum and I!!! We are at this point still working on mastering all the obstacles (and RC ofcourse 😉 starting soon again!), but already working on handling with Cik & cap sequences and some course training. But I find it (with such a fast dog) challenging to know which lines and crosses to use, so I was anticipating to start handling class after Sum knows all the obstacles 🙂 But hey this sounds way more perfect for us to do first!!!
Have you got any idear when next class will start? RC class and this class (and training weaves and raising bar with cik &cap) all at the same time (and also doing full time studying 😛 ) will be a bit too much ^^ haha.
But definitly sounds like a class just for us!! 😀

Yes, I think it’s great after-Foundations class! Next one will probably start in February.

    Hi Silvia
I paid for Beyond foundations but it is not showing up as one of my classes. I also paid for RC and that is showing up.

    A good news !
I needed this kind of transition class since a while. I wasn’t confident enought with my handling to continue handling class and that is why I have suspend it for both Jimson and Garlic…

    • LoLaBu August 3, 2016 at 21:55 Log in to Reply

Yes, I think it should work much better with this class first, many people struggled going directly to Handling.

This sounds great! Wondering if there will be options for “slower” handlers as well?

    • LoLaBu August 4, 2016 at 10:41 Log in to Reply

Yes, we’ll certainly be working on “what IF” one ends behind, on wrong side etc., trying to be able to handle whatever needed many different ways!
