Would be great meeting you and Terra! We have a participant from Finland flying in for August camp, you should come along! 🙂

I so wish I could come:) but I doubt I could convince my parents to let me travel abroad alone, and they have NO interest in dogtraining nor hiking… sigh. And I’m not so sure about flying with Terra, he is kind of sensitive and I’m not sure if he would take it well if strange poeple kept moving him in his crate, I bet he would bark at them like crazy! He has grown to 12kg now (and he is done growing thank you very much!) so there is no way I could have him as handbaggage either..

Oh, I couldn’t guess he is 12kg! How big is he? And yes, I know how hard it is to get the parents to the dog stuff! 🙂

yeah, allthough if I convinced them to let me get a dog of my own I guess anything is possible 😀 (allthough I did have to pay for him myself, saving months on a lousy salary from delivering newspapers and baking cakes for friends- worth every penny still :D). I think he is just over 40cm, wich is just above the maximum of the breed standard, but he hasn’t been measured officially. I’m pretty sure he will be measured to medium but according to your words (never seen it first hand) I guess anything will be medium here… Allthough I do not want him in a lower class than he really is I do not thing he is large.

It sounds weird that your pyrsheps are 6kg of something and they’re not that much smaller than Terra, but he is not fat at all! you can easily feel his ribs and he has a good figure, he just has a heavier build I guess.

I have to admit that I have been looking into flights and flying with dogs (reading online). It wouldn’t be a long flight but I am a bit worried about it, allthough there is plenty of time to desensitise him to people around his crate, and it shouldnt be a big deal if the crate is closed on most sides anyway.

I tought August camp was full anyway 🙂

Yes, I think kooikers have much heavier build as PyrSheps. Terra doesn’t look much if any over 40cm no. And yes, the camps are actually full, but cancellations are not uncommon 🙂
