Le wins EO 2017

EO, le, my videos, To, trials

EO just couldn't go any better as this year 🙂 Great surface, great facility with lots of shadow and enough room for walking the dogs, fun and fast courses, meeting lots of my online students in live and watching their runs when I could and of course - running two super dogs. - Super happy about pretty much all our runs!

EO 2017 - Le and To

To was sooo fast and happy, screaming all the way and not having any shoulder problems at all! But in one course, I skipped one tunnel (forgot it completely!) and in all 3 other runs, she decided weaves are just a waste of time and exited early??? – Really weird as she had no physical problem at all and she NEVER pops out normally - I think she only did it once before in her whole life, in one of her first trials. - So a very weird mistake for her.

And ah, the Super Midget... She won and set best time in 4 of her 5 runs, winning finals, both individual runs on Saturday and also a team run on Friday. What makes it even better is that we've got some really great dogs in Medium this year. In finals, we had our good old friends Silas, Laura and Werner in next 3 places - podium is always better in great company 🙂

Thank you Italy for organising such a cool event, the judges for fun and fast courses and of course Diamond for keeping my crazy dogs sound. And thank you Ta for partying all nights, seems like getting no sleep is good for my focus during the runs!

My only complaint is separating small from medium teams 🙁 That just made the event longer, competition smaller and level lower. And of course, give advantage to bigger countries with more dogs in S/M classes...

Total amazing as ever! Le demonstrates what is running at full speed, from the start to the end, and thanks to you handling she has never any doubt about what is the next obstacle. I really love her speed between obstacles and how she chained then.
So happy to see what To is able to do even with few training. Probably the exit before the end of Slalom is due to the slalom it self?

Could watch your runs again and again! Just soooo great!
Super midget always on a mission and so nice to see To run again, also it was a bit weird with the weaves.

    Congratulations again!

Yeah, really weird! But I’m sure she will be back to normal on next training/trial.

Awesome runs and congratulations!!! Did you go back and fix weaves or keep going? My first dog started doing that. I didn’t know what to do so I left the course and no reward. Pretty harsh now that I look at it, but he never did it again. He was a very tough dog though. Zero in sensitivity level .

I always sent her back and she always did it all on 2nd try. I don’t plan to do anything drastic about it as I know she must have had a reason and I’m sure she will be back to her 100% weaves in next training/trial.

Really fun to watch!!!!! I hope some day I can handle as fast and make such quick moves!
Le looks like she has gotten a LOT tighter?

    • LoLaBu August 4, 2017 at 13:14 Log in to Reply

No, she didn’t… 🙂 It all depends on a course -- she is fine on full wraps, but still terrible with turns that don’t require direction change, just collection…

Hahaha well, she looked really good here! I thought……..there is hope for Bim, LOL!!! He IS getting tighter, but still can go SO wide. I know it will improve once my timing becomes better to the help him.
She sure is fun to watch! 😀

    Congratulations! Very exciting!

Maybe just some weird visuals in the weaves that threw To off?

    • LoLaBu August 8, 2017 at 18:35 Log in to Reply

That’s what I first thought, but 3 times in different scenarios… I was just setting up a new set up today at home and noticed weaves base was not well stalked in a previous set up, the one we trained on before EO, so now I’m thinking something happened in that training and she was avoiding from that reason… She is a very sensitive girl.
