New homework: LoLaBuLand Drumming Challenge!

Bellow is a short section from Tricks for a great bond video, explaining the drumming trick. The challenge is to teach your dog to drum, make a video and post it here. The three videos that will gather the most "like"s on YouTube (or wherever you upload it) and Facebook till 5th of June will win a training DVD of your choice (or, if you have them all already 🙂 - a free copy of the next one).

Happy drumming!

Geez, I am not even done with the bottle hold trick! You are a pushy teacher!! ;D

🙂 You looked pretty much done, so I thought you needed some more homework 🙂

OH, I think Roscoe is going to LOVE this trick!! Too easy for him, LOL!!! We’ll post a “finished” product after a few more sessions. This was his first session drumming!!! Hahahahaha!!!

Yes, some dogs are naturally talented drummers! La looked exactly like this on her first session! For her, the hard trick would be to stand still -- while drumming is really easy 🙂

Here is a video of Bucis drumming and singing. 🙂 It was our 2nd attempt and I am trying to revard only drumming not the scratching since he was scratching from the 1st second of teaching this trick.

Well, Maia has decided to take the challenge on, but on one condition -- she wants to do it HER way…

Hmm, is that like a sheltie thing? My sheltie also does the “busy feet” and I caught it on cue but never tought of using it that way 🙂 so Cute!

Oh my gosh, that video was the best! Thanks for the laugh!

Ok, well here are the links. Not many votes, I guess I do not have many friends LOL 🙂

Here is my friend’s Facebook link, I do not have a Facebook account. She posted the video on her wall and had people vote there. I am not sure how many votes I have there because I cannot log on. (I cannot get a hold of her so I do not have the direct link, but if I do get a hold of her, I will ask her for the direct link)

I only have 14 likes on my YouTube page 🙁

In any case, it was fun. Maia and I had a great time, and she makes people laugh when she does it in public.

Congratulations to everyone who participated! I loved watching everyone’s videos! And THANK YOU Silvia for the challenge! 🙂

I got a hold of my friend, and she says there are only 8 likes.

O.k., just ask how many she got when you get her -- I can’t see either… And yes, “likes” are not the best way to decide on winners, actually the only good thing is that there is no subjective judging involved that could hurt somebody’s feelings…

Hi Silvia, how do we count the votes off of Facebook? I don’t have a Facebook account, buy my friend does and she posted the video on her wall. How do I link that?

    • LoLaBu May 13, 2011 at 13:04 Log in to Reply

At the end, you’ll all count your “likes” everywhere the video was published, send me the number of likes and links to where they were gathered.

    Hi Silvia,

Here is the video clip of my dogs Ponyboy and Paris trying their luck at the drumming challenge. They are so much fun to work with.

So cool! I think PyrSheps are the best drummers ever! When is the cat joining in, you could have the whole band!!!

      • Gloria May 13, 2011 at 23:21 Log in to Reply

Lol, Thanks -- Funny you should say that, I actually do have training videos of our cat on my youtube channel -- he is a very unusual cat, he thinks he’s one of the dogs.

        • LoLaBu May 14, 2011 at 21:08 Log in to Reply

He sure looks crazy! 🙂 I’m more used to cats lying around or sleeping, not racing as he does!

Oh and notice the singing, too? LOL!! I have been clicking for weight shift back and duration and, oops, clicked for foot off the drum, but he’s brilliant he will figure it out!!! 😀

    • LoLaBu May 16, 2011 at 23:35 Log in to Reply

Impressive! He can do it all! VERY cute!!!

Here are my papillons drumming. Joule has never been clicker trained, so I had to teach her that first. So, this is what I got after 3 weeks of trying. No sound so I know everyone can see it.

Wow, that sure is too cute! What a cute, thoughtful drummer Joule is! Loved Blast’s dancing too! 🙂 So funny what different styles you got with the three of them, you should make a band!
