Graduation Puppy January 2015

This is it! The class is closing tomorrow, but this page will stay open for ever and you can post your graduation videos at any point. But it's best to hurry up since gathering of "like"s starts whenever it's posted. Whoever has the biggest number of likes (only "likes" on this website count - those given directly on YouTube and Facebook don't count to make it easier to track) by June 17 gets a free next class of their choice :) - And the next three get a free download link to a training video of their choice!

Looking forward to see all those talented pups graduate!

Awww, she sure was the cutest puppy ever! And she sure mastered many tricks -- impressive balance with 4in, great handstand -- and the hug is just adorable!

    Hello Sylvia,

Not sure this is the right spot to ask. Proton tends to do great as a puppy with socializing and training. Now she is 11 months old and I found she is become very fearful and over aroused when she sees other dogs. She does zoomies and become very submissive in front of the other dogs. She is mentally exhuasted after her walk in the park. It would be great on your 2nd puppy diary DVD to give some tips, DO and DON’T to help when puppy is over aroused or not motivated and shut down during stress.

Hm, well, I take my puppies to all the trials, so they’re used to many dogs around and learn to just ignore them. When in direct contact, To is submissive as well -- but I prefer that over dominant or snappy… However, knowing she doesn’t need to interact with dogs definitely helps them, so I very much prefer agility trials for socialization over busy dog parks, so try to go some of those and show her she can just ignore other dogs and play with you instead.

I don’t know how the post got here instead of under my video. I am avoiding the dog park at busy time now so she can have free one in the wood and park for exercise in the park at dawn and dust to avoid dogs. I will start to go back to basic and bring her to trials and places again. Thanks Sylvia. See you in Foundations.

    Kyra's Graduation

We simply loved everything that we learned and know that we’ll never stop learning and having fun every day. We know that our lives will never be the same after your class.

Here is our graduation video. We didn’t have time to keep up with submitting all the videos or learn as many tricks as some of our classmates but I loved watching Brooks develop a love for working with me as we went through the class. Thought I’d show you some of the stuff we’ve worked on so you can see how much he developed during the class.

I’m so very sorry about La. I hope you see the joy she has passed on through you to the dogs in this class. Thanks and we’ll see you in Foundations class!

I loved it! Loved sightseeing with Brooks! He was too cute ignoring that cheesesteak! 🙂

Thanks, Silvia! We loved the class so much (even if I did miss half of it while my senior dog was recovering from surgery). I really wanted something to do with him right after he arrived that would help me bond with him and teach him to love learning. I was so lucky that one of your classes was starting just a few weeks after he came to me. Your class was so perfect to get us started on a lifetime of adventures together. He absolutely lights up when he sees the clicker. Thank you for all the work you put into making the class such a special experience for your students!!

PS -- the cheesesteak was tempting me too while I was filming him 🙂

Loving to work with you is certainly the most important thing you can teach a puppy! Should be easy from here on!
