Yay, we can do a tunnel and cik&cap now - a kind of!!! Here are Ta's thoughts about our very first 3 agility sessions:

  1. A tunnel!!! Wow, that's fun, let's do that again! But wait, why are you running away? That's not all that smart if you want us to do a tunnel? So let me just wait for you right here at the exit while you run around like an idiot with my toy!?
  2. What, what, what??? What is this now??? Can I just bark at you, will that do? Oh, wait, we're doing figure 8s! O.k., why not - I can do that! You can leave whenever you want, set whatever distance you want and be wherever you want, I've got this!
  3. What, what, what??? OMG, what is this mess now? Why everything changed? You want us to do our first sequence? Can I just bark at you instead? Oh, wait, there is a tunnel, let me just do that. But why are you calling my name? I thought we were doing agility, not recalls??? You don't really know all that much about this agility thing do you?

Yeah, she is just as much fun!!! NO herding, no circling and pretty brilliant once she figures things out! 🙂 And pretty LOUD until she does! We still have plenty of things to figure out, but she sure makes me laugh a lot and I definitely enjoy a bit different BC this time around! She doesn't circle, she stays, she fetches, she likes static toys as much as thrown toys and toys handed from a hand, she likes chasing and tugging just the same... - hard to imagine easier dog to do agility with as that!

And oh, not only she stays... - she thinks it's a really fun game to stay and start on release only!!! Imagine that! She must be an alien. Or just not my dog. I can't think of any other reasonable explanation than these two to explain her love to stay!?!

Wet, foggy and muddy outside, so just some phone photos for today:

Tired after a long walk? What would that mean?

My work supervisors... Or the biggest ears contest?

You stand no chance sister!

Just because I'm still the cutest!

Do you have a video of Ta’s first agility? Would love to see that. She is 7 months so we are right behind you!

No, not much to see yet -- just lots of barking 🙂

OK, but I am sure there will be something pretty soon knowing you!

We’re taking it easy, she is not nearly as mature as To was at this age, so I’ll just give her some more time.

Maybe Ta is the perfect puppy….the stay as you’ve described it for her is just a dream for everybody
I’m really curious to see this little monster in the future…

Well, she has her strengths -- and weaknesses 🙂

How do you get ANY work done?? <3

Well, they are very good at their job. At the moment they see I’m not completely focused, they start demanding cuddles. They allow none of just sitting around!
