photos, ta

She sure is fun to work with - loves both toys and food and switches between the two easily. Apart from tricks and playing, we spend lots of treats on things like NOT trying to kill yourself trying to jump on a kitchen counter (NEVER had a dog that would attempt that before!), NOT trying to steal everybody's toys, NOT being in Bi's face the whole time. - What is all pretty hard as she is just so irresistibly cute!

She is just like those baby goats, climbing and jumping on everything - and falling off everything! - So surviving her puppyhood without injuries is my major focus and we might be a bit behind on tricks from that reason!

I hope To shares a bit of wisdom with this crazy puppy... And yes, she still thinks Ta is her long lost puppy. I was expecting her to sit in a corner and look the other way, letting me know she does NOT want to share my attention, like she did when Blue was back for vacations. But small puppies are another story and she has no problem with me, borrowing her puppy some - under one condition of course, that she can supervise and make sure no treats are lost in the process! She seems quite proud of my work too and thinks we should always have a puppy in the house. Or even better - 7!!!

Le wants to play as well, but it a kind of always ends with one or the other crashing into the other one, so I don't let them play much - these two really have absolutely no self-preservation skills, so they're not the best match. Bi thinks 1 puppy is much better as 7 and I even think she secretly thinks Ta is pretty cool, given she has the same taste in toys as she does - because tossing metal bowls around tiles is the best game ever, right? The louder the better! But we don't let Ta test her patience too far as patience is not Bi's strong point. And Bu says: "What puppy? I see no puppy?".

She sure is cute!! I know exactly how you feel though, she sounds just like Reno when he was a puppy. He was always climbing up on everything! He would jump from the floor straight onto the kitchen counter and then stand there looking all proud of himself that he made it, but his most favorite trick was climbing onto the back of the couch or any other high point and then launching himself through the air at whoever came to take him off. Needless to say, we got really good at catching him in midair. Hopefully Ta won’t learn that! 🙂 I definitely breathed a sigh of relief when he made it through puppyhood in one piece! 🙂

Oh yes, she likes launching from high places -- mastered the top of a sofa already. She is nowhere close to being able to jump on a kitchen counter though, but that doesn’t stop her from trying, even if every try ends with her falling on her back…
