Will this help with a young dog that has learned with a different method (2x2) but still is not consistant with correct entries/skipping poles?

Yes! With weaves, it’s no problem to mix up different methods as the end behaviour is the same anyway, so it will certainly only help!

Well I have no access to channel weaves so I was wondering if I could still apply some of it to help. I guess if nothing else the challenges will be helpful:)

Yes, there are many proofing ideas. And I think you can make a channel by angling 2x2 weaves some. -- Or by making stick in the ground poles from one row of normal poles…

Looking forward to this! 🙂 I did a bit of weaves from foundation DVD but as my young boy couldn’t train for a while I forgot about it. This is what I struggle the most with my older boy, so should be great for both of them. Hope my stick in the ground poles will do for this…

Yes, I trained all my dogs on stick in the ground poles 🙂 It’s a bit annoying to set them, but worth the effort 🙂

🙂 I loved that set up so much I just had to use it even though it meant I had to set it again -- what I normally never do! I changed the other parts (you can see the new set up on the last picture of the trailer), but kept the weave entry options.
