October Foundations!

11 Sep 2013
7 Comments

October Foundations class is now open for registration! Note the date of beginning moved to earlier date - we're starting on 7th October now.

The class is appropriate for dogs over 6 months, from total beginners to dogs competing at the highest levels who could still use better turns, more independence or speed. We have all different levels in this class as we adjust the exercises for each team to keep everybody challenged - I promise you will not be bored 🙂

This is certainly my favorite class and always lots of fun. It's even better now that Foundation Fun DVD is part of it. So the price might look higher, but if you already have the DVD, the price is actually lower now since teaching this class is much easier now with the help of the video.

We'll address all the topics addressed in Foundations video + see-saw and weaves:

To follow the class, you need at least 1 tunnel (2 is better) and 3-4 jumps. The class is 12 weeks long (+ we'll do a 2 week break somewhere in the middle). We're starting on 7th October, but there is already some pre-homework to do, so best is to register now and then enter the classroom.

Is there some form to be filled in order to sign up for foundation class or should I just proceed to check out with pay pall? Link https://www.lolabuland.com/long-distance-classes/foundations-october-3 doesn’t open a new page 🙁

Yes, the link will only open after payment as that’s when you get the access to the class.

    Hei,

I am participating August Puppy class at the moment and would like to take after that foundation class. But I understand that this october foundation class opens before puppy class ends. Are you going to open new foundation class after puppy class? Or what you suggest me?
I have almost 4 months old bc puppy. So october class is too early for us.

Next Foundations after October will in be in March/April. You could get a DVD before that and start some basics on your own and join it as a participant then. Alternatively, you could join as an auditor now, start with puppy friendly exercises and then finish it up later. The whole program is hard to master in one class anyway as it’s really intense class -- so many people take it twice…

    Hi Silvia,
I did March 2012 Foundations Class with Sammy -- well sort of!! 🙂
As you know we are struggling somewhat with our RC. I seem to have spent all my effort and time on RC and let my foundations slip by the way side. I’m thinking maybe I should take a bit of a break from RC. Sign up with Foundations repeater and work really hard on getting my foundation work nice and solid. Then come December sign up for repeaters RC and get that right. What do you think?

Sounds like a good plan! Taking a break from RC often helps!
