Happy birthday little midget!

le, my videos, trials

And on Tuesday, it was Le's 3rd birthday!!! Happy birthday my little flying midget!

Le is a really cool dog - a real couch potato at home, wanting to be cuddled all the time, but a super midget on agility field, always trying her best to guess what I want. Yeah, while my BCs make me feel like a good, in time handler that provides them with all the necessary info at all times and stays ahead at all times, this little midget is leaving me in the dust and make me scream from behind - I feel completely useless, but strangely enough, she mostly still guesses what I want! - Always a thrill to run little Le!!!

Here are some of our recent runs 🙂 Le had best time from all jump heights in all those runs, in the first one for 4s for example 🙂

Flying midget, crazy Bi and some of Bu - recent trials

I always enjoy watching you and your dogs run, so much fun! Little Le is a little rocket! But I love and am constantly amazed at Bu’s precision and tight wraps! It’s spectacular to watch!

Precision is certainly Bu’s middle name 🙂

Very fun to watch!!! I don’t know how you can think when running Le, she is SO lightening fast and yelling the whole time!! How does SHE think? LOL!!! Amazing!

I know, I have no idea how she can run, listen and try to guess what I mean 🙂

At three years old Le is making fast tracks for many happy years to come in the agility arena with you. Happy Birthday to your little flying midget! 😉

I only wish I could aspire to be so “useless”!! You handle her so well. Thank goodness she runs so fast as most people are holding their breath while they watch you two! Happy Birthday midget!

    Hi Silvia,

She sure looks lightning fast ! Does she really run faster than your longuer legged dogs ? Is that what is really going on ? Or maybe she manages to be just as fast and you have to baby sit her just a little bit more than the border collies and that’s what’s making it tougher to handle ? If she runs as fast as a taller border collie, that is still very impressive !

I am beginning to think that if I can get a 16 inch pyrshep, and train her as well as the best canadian shetland sheepdog is being trained, I should be able to beat all the 16 inch shetland sheepdog in the canandian trials…

Does that sound logical to you ?
    Claire

Yes, Le is much faster as BCs and has 1-2s faster times even on her bad runs -- up to 4s on her best runs. Of course, it’s partly because BCs (mostly) jump 26″ and she jumps 18″ (but she is 14,5″ so that’s not that low for her), but even when running on flat in the fields she is always running on Bi’s tail and while Bi looks like she is really giving it all, Le looks that’s nothing for her and could go faster, but that chasing Bi is more fun 🙂

But of course, not all PyrSheps are that fast. I think even La wasn’t THAT fast in her youth, despite she was also constantly faster as BCs and of course also Shelties yes. Many PyrSheps tend to be “airy” though, so certainly something to pay attention to.

I can’t believe she could be as fast as Bi on the flat! How is that even possible? But she IS very fast… hmm…
