Ta Daaa!

ta

So the first plan was to get a PyrShep as my next pup. But after several females ended empty and To's toe injury, I decided it might be a better plan to go with BC puppy first. Afterall, who wants to run in the same class with Le, right? ๐Ÿ™‚ And from my Large dogs, Bu is now retired, Bi is almost 9 and will retire by the time next puppy starts trialing and To's agility will be very limited because of her injury.

So next plan was another puppy from To's mother... - But then I decided to breed To instead since Surprise Puppies made me see what a privilege it is to bond with them from day one and to watch them 24 hours a day. So I did all the tests, show ring training, got breeding licence and studied tons of pedigrees... - All that to find out that I don't seem to find a male that would be 1. - good match, 2. - safe health-wise and 3. - not related to To. - It actually just got more&more obvious I'm really looking for as To-like dog as possible...

So when an option to get her pretty-much-aunt arose, it only made sense to change the plan once more...

Wannahave The Original TaDa will be joining us mid-July. She has the same grandmum as To and her father is To's grandfather ๐Ÿ™‚ She is one of these beauties (pink, yellow or orange) - we'll know more a bit later ๐Ÿ™‚ Now grow fast little puppies and July - come soon!!!

They're 1 week today, but 1 day in this picture:

And while it's sure extra special to breed your own pup and I still hope I have the courage to do so one day - I actually feel a kind of relieved that someone else is doing all the hard work - it's sooo much easier to be responsible for just 1 puppy - vs. 7!

OH MY goodness, what FUN ahead!!!! I am no where near a puppy, but I can’t believe how fast they grow up. I’m going to have to borrow some dogs again for more RDW training for a couple years. LOL!!! Can’t WAIT to watch Ta grow up!!! A little sad you didn’t breed To, though, she was such a good mom and your puppy diary was so fun. And also sad it’s so hard to find the right pyr shep, but I totally know about that. Was so hard to find the right MAS. Not one single breeder I would consider in the US, yet.

Yes, little sad about that as well, it’s so very special to get to watch them from day 1 -- just fascinating to see their temperaments at that early age. It only works if watching them all day long though -- I still see nothing from short videos!

Congrats on finding TaDa! Great name already, too. Will look forward to see how you handle the new challenges this one brings.

Cool a new puppy!! I totally understand you would want another To like dog, I feel the same with Sum ๐Ÿ™‚ If next dog would be a BC I wouldn’t want anything other than a daughter of Sum ๐Ÿ˜€ Who knows, we are working on it ๐Ÿ™‚
Now the waiting is the hard part haha, but well July is soon! Sooner than waiting 1 year (or maybe 1,5) is for me ๐Ÿ˜‰ That’s how ‘early’ a second dog is an option here.. So waiting untill July is way better haha.

Good luck with your puppy plans!!! I always try to go for even closer relatives as their puppies where I get only 50% of the same genes ๐Ÿ™‚ -- but unfortunately, it’s not always possible… -- Le’s father left all females empty for last 2-3 years, so I’m a bit at loss here… ๐Ÿ™

Do I understand it correctly, you mean you try to get a puppy from the same father or mother as the current dog? ๐Ÿ™‚

If I like that dog ๐Ÿ™‚ -- then certainly YES yes! That’s as much alike as it gets! With Le I knew her mother will be too old for that, but I was hoping a daughter of her mother (from different father) will be bred to Le’s father.

Huge congratulations, Silvia! Very exciting!!! The timing makes total sense to me, and an opportunity NOT to pass up!!!

Maybe its time to change your business name to “LoLaBuLeBiToTa” (did I miss anyone?)!

Ha ha -- why orange? Colour-wise, I would prefer one of the tri-colours -- but will try hard to not see the colour when deciding!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I like a simple colours but I do not know her nature. Yes, nature is the most important, I wish you to fit each other well. I believe you take a right pick. ๐Ÿ™‚
