New look :)

Lolabuland got a new look! We tried to take into account all the wishes of our visitors (like white background, easier to find articles, easier to find upcoming classes etc.) and we're also preparing a new form of classes for September Foundations, so it will be easier to find new comments, follow that or another dog and find general discussions.

I hope you like our new look and if you have any more ideas or suggestions - speak up! πŸ™‚ Also, let me know if you find any bugs, anything that is missing or not working. I know avatars are missing and we're working on that, but might be some other things that we missed. Thanks!

Hm, yes, some posts got lost in the process… I’m afraid we won’t be able to get them back… If somebody didn’t see the answer before they got lost, please post again and I’ll answer again!

Great idea to leave black background. I propose you to try a mitigate white like R=241 G=248 B=248 calming blue that is in your theme.

An advanced search will be a great improvement : in a classroom or a lesson, with free keywords giving links to page found !

You may also improve the Pages navigation bar, because it is to hard to use it when there is a lot of pages.
for example 1 … 163 164 165 166 167 168 it is hard to navigate between pages 1 to 163 ! Also add the same bar at beginning of page.

Hi Silvia!! Great new site! Although I kind of liked the black background, but the white is good, too! πŸ˜€ So, how do we search for comments about one student/dog? I can’t figure that out? It may be right in front of my face and I am not seeing it, LOL!!

Search is certainly working in a new form of classes that we’ll be introducing soon. Not sure if it will work in old classes, but we’ll test it tomorrow and let you know.

Is there a spot to see recent comments? I may be just missing it?

COOL new website! πŸ™‚ Just curious…who did your beautiful header with all 6 dogs? Great job! Was it done in Photoshop?

Thanks! It’s done in Photoshop yes, by my boyfriend who did all the technical stuff as well.

very nice new website! only note, when reading from a mobile, replies to a comment appear in a taller and more narrow box — and after many replies the box gets so narrow you can’t read. Don’t know if you can fix it, just wanted to let you know πŸ™‚
by the way: you say you always traveled a lot with your dogs, I wanted to ask if you plan to write sometihing on this topic too (even though it’s not strictly agility-related), thanks πŸ™‚

Thanks! And yes, I think we can’t fix that as we do need comments to get more narrow in order to make threads clear…

I used to travel a lot yes -- from hitch-hiking, to trains, then car and some planes (not much -- not easy with multiple dogs). What would you like to know?

Well, I was interested in how you deal with the whole question -- from prices to dealing with the dog needs while on the road -- hitch hiking sounds fun though, was it easy to do with a dog?

Others as trains and planes, we rarely paid anything extra. We normally sleep in camps or a car though, so it’s all very easy. My dogs know to relax in their crates and just sleep the whole travel. We do stop for a walk on longer travels of course.

Hitch-hiking with a dog was as safe as hitch hiking can be πŸ™‚ I guess no bad person would stop for somebody with a dog, so I only got cool rides by dog enthusiasts πŸ™‚

Silvia is there any way to increase the size of print when viewing on a mobile devise? Your previous web page allowed this where as now it won’t work πŸ™
    Thanks!

Hm, I have no idea, but we just tested some (other) pages and it didn’t work with those either… Can you give me example of a website where it works to see what they have different? Also, what devise are you using to see if we can test on the same one.

    Try this, http://www.usdaa.com
And I’m using an iPad although my friend uses a tablet and hers won’t allow it either.

Huh, it might take us some time to solve this mystery as for us, usdaa page doesn’t get enlarged either… We went under iPad settings -- general -- larger text. Do you have another trick to make this work?

Great new look and really easy to find everything now πŸ™‚

It would be great if editing one’s own posts could be possible if one has forgotten to mention something or to edit stupid spelling mistakes.

Great new look and I love how one can now search for articles of your individual dogs! I actually enjoy reading about their personalities even more than reading about you agility adventures, it is so funny and interesting how different they all are πŸ™‚

On the iPad usually all I need to do is double tap the screen or pull apart with my fingers to enlarge whatever it is I’m viewing, like I said earlier it used to work on previous site but not now and I have no clue as to why….hoping you would, πŸ™‚ but no worries, at least I will have a good excuse if my spelling or punctuation is wrong, I just can’t see it! πŸ™‚

Oh, OK, now I understand what you mean… And yes, it doesn’t work for us either. We’ll look into it. Thanks!
